Invisalign® teeth straightening

Why choose Invisalign®?

We know that a straight smile often means a healthy smile. Not only will Invisalign® clear dental braces for adults & teens straighten your teeth, they will also improve your overall dental health at the same time!

Comfort and tooth structure

Teeth and jaws that are not properly aligned can cause improper bites, which can lead to increased wear on the tooth enamel and painful trauma to the supporting bone and jaw joints. Invisalign® clear dental braces for adults & teens effectively address these orthodontic issues, so you’ll have the confidence of a new and straighter smile and at the same time improve your overall dental health!

Better oral health

The metal wires and brackets of traditional fixed braces often trap food, which can lead to a build of up plaque and eventually tooth decay. As Invisalign® clear dental braces for adults & teens are made of plastic and are removable, you can brush and floss with ease, allowing for better oral health during your treatment.

Healthier teeth and gums

Crowded or widely spaced teeth can result in swollen, red gums, which is a sign of periodontal disease. When teeth are properly aligned, the gums fit securely around the teeth and allow for a strong defence against periodontal problems. Once treatment has completed and Invisalign® clear dental braces have straightened your teeth, you may find improvements in your overall gum health.

Improved chewing and speech

Teeth and jaws that are incorrectly positioned can lead to chewing problems and speech difficulties. Invisalign® clear dental braces for adults & teens work to align your teeth and jaws, which will alleviate these issues, giving you a happier and healthier smile!

Investment in technology

Our investment in the latest technology includes iTero intraoral scanning for Invisalign® clear aligner therapy. Invisalign® cases that start with an iTero scan have seven times fewer fit issues than those started with traditional impressions.

The iTero scanner also eliminates the mess and unpleasantness associated with traditional impressions. Treatment is completely comfortable for the patient.

Not only that, there are 10 times fewer rejections of iTero scans than traditional impressions. Your dentist can make real-time adjustments to the simulated outcome.

Simulated Treatment Outcomes

You'll be able to see potential Invisalign® treatment outcomes with the Invisalign® Outcome Simulator. This chairside application is powered exclusively by iTero scanners to help you visualise how your teeth may look at the end of Invisalign® treatment. Simulated outcomes make it easy to see the benefits of Invisalign® brace treatment.

Once you have decided that Invisalign® braces are right for you, all you need to do is contact us at Higher Lane Dental Practice in Lymm, Cheshire, and our Invisalign dentist can design a bespoke treatment plan to start you on your journey towards the smile you’ve always longed for!

Step One: Your Consultation

We offer your consultation with our Invisalign® dentist. We will assess the issues you have with your teeth and discuss possible Invisalign® treatment plans to find the package that is most suitable for you. We will then take impressions (a mould) of your teeth and also some photographs as your Invisalign® braces are customised and tailor-made for your teeth.

Consultations are £45 but come complete with a full mouth exam and two small X-rays if required.

Step Two: Your Assessment

Following your consultation with our Invisalign® dentist, a 3D computerised image of your teeth will be made at the Invisalign® laboratory using state-of-the-art technology so you will be able to see the movements your teeth will be making during your treatment with Invisalign® braces, and what your new smile will look like when the Invisalign® treatment is complete!

I initially selected this practice based on their experience with Invisalign and being one of very few to use 3D computer scanning over impressions.

Step Three: Your Treatment Plan

You will wear each set of customised aligners for approximately two weeks before exchanging them for the next set in the series. Your teeth will move little by little, week by week until they have straightened to the final position. Typically, you will wear your Invisalign® braces for a total of 9-15 months and the number of aligners worn during Invisalign® treatment is usually between 18 and 30, depending on the individual.

Step Four: Your Treatment

You will wear your aligners both day and night, removing them only to eat, drink, brush, floss and for special occasions. You’ll visit your Invisalign® dentist once every 4-6 weeks to ensure that your treatment is progressing as planned. During your treatment, your teeth will be continually moving towards the confident smile you’ve always dreamed of!

Invisalign Teen®

As with adult aligners, Invisalign Teen® aligners are made of clear plastic and are virtually invisible, a feature which allows self-conscious teenagers to be able to smile with confidence for school pictures, team photos and party snaps.

Just like the adult Invisalign system, Invisalign Teen® moves teeth gradually with each set of plastic aligners. As teenagers are always on the go, Teen aligners also come with embedded blue wear-indicators which fade in colour when the next set of aligners are needed. They are also specially designed to cope with eruption of canines, second premolars and molars.

As the aligners are made of plastic, there are no  metal wires or brackets such as those found on traditional braces. Subsequently, Invisalign® aligners are virtually free from the discomfort and pain often associated with fixed braces.

Invisalign® aligners are removable, making them easy to clean and maintain better oral health. It also means that playing sports and musical instruments is not a problem. Another great feature of the Invisalign Teen® system is that you will get six free replacement aligners in case any get lost, damaged or misplaced.

Invisalign® FAQs

Will Invisalign ®work for me?

Invisalign® invisible dental braces can be used to correct a variety of common issues such as those listed below:

  • Overcrowding  - Insufficient space in the mouth can make it difficult to clean your teeth efficiently. This can lead to tooth decay and gum disease. Invisalign® braces can be used to reduce overcrowding of teeth.

  • Widely spaced teeth -  Small-sized or missing teeth, continued growth of the jawbone, tongue protrusion or genetics can all lead to tooth-related diseases such as gingivitis and periodontitis (which can result in tooth loss). Invisalign® treatment can be used to successfully close the gaps between your teeth.

  • Crossbites - When the top and bottom jaws are not aligned, the upper teeth bite down on the inside of the lower teeth, causing discomfort. This can happen throughout the mouth and if left untreated, can lead to tooth erosion, gum disease or bone loss. Invisalign® invisible dental braces will straighten your bite.

  • Overbites -  Top teeth overlapping and protruding over the bottom teeth can cause gum irritation, unusual wear of the lower front teeth and jaw or joint problems. Invisalign® treatment will gradually bring your upper and lower teeth back into line, correcting your overbite.

Underbites - Lower teeth protruding out past the front teeth can impair the proper functioning of the front teeth or molars, and if left untreated, can result in tooth wear, chewing problems and pain in the jaw and joint. Invisalign® braces can be used to align your upper and lower teeth to correct your underbite.

How much does Invisalign® cost?

When considering any form of dental procedure, price is an important factor. The cost of Invisalign® braces will be dependent on your specific needs, such as the extent of your dental problem and how long your treatment will last.

Higher Lane Dental Practice offer patients a consultation for Invisalign® treatment. This enables us to assess the problems that you have with your teeth and to discuss potential Invisalign® treatment plans. The cost of Invisalign® braces is comparable to, or in some cases lower than, the cost of traditional fixed braces. We offer Invisalign® treatment packages from £1,100.

Don’t miss out – visit the Invisalign offers page for more information.

We also offer Invisalign Lite®, which is used to correct more simple problems. The treatment time is shorter and is more cost effective, making it the ideal solution for those who want an affordable way to improve their smiles.

Will invisalign fit in my life?

Invisalign® removable braces for adults and teens will give you a happier, healthier smile with minimal disruption to your daily routine.

The Invisalign® treatment process involves using a series of removable aligners that are exchanged every two weeks for the next set of aligners in the series, thereby gradually moving your teeth into the desired position. Invisalign® braces are removable braces and are barely visible when worn. They're made from clear plastic so there's no metal wires or brackets that so often lead to pain and discomfort.

Used to correct a variety of issues, Invisalign® has numerous advantages over fixed braces. Because the aligners are removable, you can maintain good oral hygiene during the treatment process.

Invisalign® braces don’t just straighten your teeth, they work wonders for your self-esteem, giving you the confidence to show off your new smile with pride!
